Camper Shoes: Asymmetry from the Plain of Spain

Camper shoes have developed into one of the more quirky, delightful, innovative shoe brands on the market today. When I think of Campers I think of Asymmetry. Many of their shoes feature different designs on the right and left shoe. An example are the Camper Twins shown below. I know of no other shoe brand that has so effectively and imaginatively done this.

In general these shoes get good reviews. They have had a few shoes that seem to be poorly designed and thus are uncomfortable. A few of the shoes also seem to run a bit small with occasional recommendations to move up one size with fit.

The Manolo thinks these shoes are so passe here.

Pricing: Camper shoes are one of the more expensive casual shoes on the market today. If you can find any closeout specials for under $80 or so you have found a deal. If you are looking for them on Ebay you will do well to get a good pair for under $50. As usual, look for minimal wear on the sole, tight stitching, and uppers without a lot of scuffing.
